~The Writings for Lovers~

For anyone who has ever loved,
or ever will love.

Laura

To me our relationship is like a young child
Contemplating a new package of crayons
Hesitant about opening the box
Yet anxious about experimenting and creating
We've just begun
Proceeding slowly
Excited about sharing the colors
Of our new found emotions

You remind me of a sudden summer storm
Your smile is like the sun
Shinning through prism raindrops
Your eyes when you are excited
Are like quick flashes of lightening
Your voice is like the soft roll
Of distant thunder and the gentle shower of rain
I'll be yours forever as soon as you ask

~First Love~

How much I loved him
I guess I still do
The things we shared
Special times spent with you
My first kiss My first touch
Seem like yesterday
But yet they are distant
Far far away
I gave you my heart
And you threw it away
For that I forgave you
Love got in the way
When it was over
I was hurt and confused
Shouldn't love nurture and not abuse ?
Time heals the hurt
And we must move on
The memories will stay
Though my first love is gone

~Thoughts~

Alone in a darkened room I sit
The ache in my heart and soul
Unbearable as I sit and think of
What could have been
I light a candle and am not
Warmed by its flame
I only know all things
Share my sadness
Even the candle weeps
Wax tears
